- Measurement is according to the ICF’s list of body functions and structures.
- There are 12 areas of measurement. Each area contains 7 intervals.
- This tool assists us in determining the type of care treatment required, and the urgency thereof.
- Regular patient scoring reflects the need for treatment and further medical assessments.
- To be used by Professional Nurses, Care Managers and Medical Professionals
- Most suited to Acute, Sub-acute, and Homecare environments.
- Training and accreditation time is 6 hours.
The Beta Tool ®
The Beta Tool measures a person’s ability to self-care in their immediate environment and the quantifies the nursing resources required.
- Measurement is according to the ICF’s basic list of activities and participation
- There are 18 areas of measurement. Each area contains 7 intervals.
